ComfyUI now supports Sonilo, an AI-powered video-to-music service, through its Partner Nodes system. The integration lets creators generate full-length soundtracks that sync to video footage frame by frame, directly inside existing ComfyUI node graphs.

What Happened

Announced April 14, the Sonilo Partner Node analyzes video footage for visual content, pacing, and emotional cues, then generates synchronized music that matches the on-screen action. Rather than producing generic background tracks, Sonilo reads the video timeline and locks musical beats, transitions, and intensity shifts to specific frames.

All generated audio includes commercial usage rights with no additional licensing required. The integration is available through the updated ComfyUI desktop application, Comfy Cloud, and ready-to-use workflow templates in the Workflow Library.

Because Sonilo runs as a standard node, it slots into any existing video pipeline alongside generation, upscaling, and effects stages without requiring a separate tool or export step.

Why It Matters for Creators

Syncing music to AI-generated video has been one of the most manual steps in creative workflows. Creators typically export video, open a separate music tool, generate tracks, manually align beats to cuts, then re-import. Sonilo collapses that into a single node that reads the video and outputs synced audio.

This builds on a wave of audio tools entering ComfyUI. PrismAudio recently tackled video-to-ambient-audio conversion, while ComfyUI v0.19 added native music and text generation nodes. Sonilo fills a different niche: purpose-built music generation with frame-level synchronization for narrative and commercial video.

The bundled commercial rights also matter for production teams. Most AI music generators require separate licenses for commercial output, adding cost and legal overhead. Sonilo includes rights at the point of generation.
